Registration opens July 1st  and runs through August 20th

Barre, Vermont has an active soccer program for area youth in Kindergarten through 6th grade. Last year over 350 children focused on skill building with an emphasis on team work, fair play, and fun.  Come join us by registering now.  All programs are open for area children until Aug 20th.  Due to equipment supplies, insurance and field availability, we are NOT able to accept late registrations for 1st to 6th grade.  No registration is needed for the kindergarten program.

First and 2nd graders have one practice a week. Grades 3 through 6 practice on M & W or Tu & Th.  We cannot always accommodate practice schedule requests. Kindergartners and their guardians can participate in BYSA’s free Intro to Soccer program on Saturday mornings.

BYSA Soccer FAQ’s

• What time are games & practices?
  • Practices are M&W or T&TH and beginning around 5:30-6 based on volunteer coaches’ schedules. Games are played on Saturday’s and are the following:
    • 1-2 Boys @ BTEMS lower soccer field @9:30
    • 1-2 Girls @ BTEMS lower soccer field @ 11:00
• How many teams per age group?
  • Between 4-6 teams based on registration number’s and volunteers
• Can we request players or coaches to be together?
  • No, we can only accommodate special requests for certain nights due to other activities. Teams are made up of ability levels and alphabetical order.
• What equipment is required?
  • Soccer shoes & shin guards
• When does the season start?
  • Practices begin the 1st week after Labor Day – the first game will be the first weekend after Labor Day. The season runs through the middle of October
• When will I be contacted about what team my child will be on?
  • The coaches should be contacting players by Labor Day. Please don’t call or email until after Labor Day if you haven’t heard from your coach.
